Finding Peace

When Landon first came to our Boys Home, he was struggling. His parents had watched him wrestle with anger, poor grades and broken trust. Despite years of therapy, camps and after-school programs, nothing seemed to take hold, and they were running out of options. Until they found the Boys Home.

Landon joined our program during the 40-Day Summer Challenge in 2024 and his life began to turn. Surrounded by caring staff and steady structure, he heard the Gospel, believed by faith and decided to follow Christ. That choice became the foundation for real change in his heart and behavior.

Now part of our Academy Program, Landon is beginning to thrive. He’s advanced to Tier 5, where he carries more responsibility along with well-earned privileges. Scripture memory and character training have become part of his routine, helping him anchor his days in truth.

Landon has also found classes he truly enjoys. Heavy Equipment Operation has quickly become his favorite, giving him hands-on experience that excites him about the future. In academics, he’s beginning to gain ground, even in Algebra, which used to be a constant source of frustration. His current GPA is 3.4!

One of his daily jobs is caring for the rabbits raised for meat at the Boys Home, an agricultural aspect to the Academy program. What seems like a simple chore has become something he takes pride in, and it gives him a responsibility he values. He also says his anger is easier to handle now, because his faith has given him strength and perspective he didn’t have before.

Landon’s journey is still unfolding, but the changes are clear. A boy once on a path of defiance and disappointment is now discovering responsibility, confidence and hope. Step by step, he is building a new future rooted in faith and eternal peace.
