A New Path Forward

Amir was born into a Muslim family in New York City. Although he grew up under the teachings of Islam, he struggled to find purpose and meaning in the religion. Seeking a fresh start, he left New York for Indianapolis. However, he fell into legal trouble and spent two weeks in jail.
Upon his release, he was homeless and came to our Men’s Shelter, where the God of the Bible became real to him. “God brought me to Good News Ministries,” Amir remembers. At our Men’s Shelter, Amir found new life in Christ and his physical needs were also met.
Today, Amir is safe and healthy, while coming to terms with his past, healing, and walking in newfound faith and hope. “Everything I’m going to do moving forward will be Christ-led. I don’t want anything else,” he said.
